Adopt Resolution No. 15 - "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD FOR EXCEPTION TO <br /> THE 180-DAY WAIT PERIOD GC SECTION 7522.56 & 21224 FOR <br /> SAMUEL BAXTER IV." <br /> 2. Adopt Resolution No. 15 - "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD FOR EXCEPTION TO <br /> THE 180-DAY WAIT PERIOD GC SECTION 7522.56 & 21224 FOR <br /> LUNITA BOCK." <br /> BACKGROUND ANALYSIS: <br /> Samuel Baxter, Assistant City Manager retired from the City effective December 5, <br /> 2015. Sam was the City of West Hollywood's executive responsible for managing <br /> an ongoing capital project litigation case involving the City of West Hollywood. <br /> Sam plays a critical role for the City in managing the high profile and complex <br /> case in direct coordination with the City's outside legal counsel. Sam is uniquely <br /> suited as he has the institutional knowledge, experience and has been extensively <br /> involved with the case. Sam's continued involvement is critical to ensure continuity <br /> with the overall preparation of the case for the City. This is a critically needed <br /> extra help position and the City cannot wait six months due to Sam's knowledge of <br /> the history and knowledge of specific details related to the case and the ongoing <br /> work that needs to be performed by the City for the preparation of pending <br /> litigation. <br /> LuNita Bock, Director of Administrative Services retired from the City effective <br /> December 3, 2015. LuNita was the City of West Hollywood's director responsible <br /> for managing ongoing employment litigation cases against the City of West <br /> Hollywood. LuNita plays a critical role for the City in managing the high profile and <br /> complex employment cases in direct coordination with the City's outside legal <br /> AGENDA ITEM S.Q. <br />
